dude... the college under vtu is given a priority.. and the ranking is apart from this very unbiased.. moreover.. the ranking system is based on the formula of calculation whic i felt apt for the coming year students.. differnt ppl can have different opinion.. The college as fr as i know is a decent college ranked at 19th this year is a very deserving rank for it.. And with placements in mind you got to keep a good score for a nice placements..

Its nice to see u back.. thanks for ur query..the classes as per vtu dates must open on 13thaugust.. but it depends on college to decide the date as per there convenience..
i think and as per past experiences coll must open by 1st of sept..

First of all congratulations. telecom is a good branch you opted for. If you take my advice try shifting for SIT Tumkur or DayanandSagar, coz according to me those are better college with placment perspectives. All the best!! Do well...
And ya BMSIT is a good college with respect to CS branch and placments. The advantage of BMSIT is that during placments you got all the companies visitng BMSCE campus... So go for it.
